Fleet Feet Decatur Spring 2012 Half Marathon Training Programs

It is time to start planning for your Spring Running Events! These programs are designed for beginners seeking to finish, intermediate runners with time goals and those who would simply like to be part of a coached group.

Our training philosophy centers on quality workouts, injury prevention and – most importantly – fun! Our 12-week half marathon training program features two group workouts per week, focusing on speed and endurance training. Our coach will create a training program best suited for your individual pace, and will provide coaching along the way.

We believe that people run better (and faster) when they’re having fun. That’s why we encourage group runs, try to build in fun activities during the program and throw an end-of-training party to celebrate your accomplishments. Running should be fun!

We’ll be offering two training programs this Spring:
1. Publix Half Marathon Training
2. Nashville Country Music Half Marathon Training

Programs:
1) Publix Half Marathon Training
     - Goal Race: Publix Half Marathon (race day 3/18/12)
            o Program Start: Tuesday, January 3, 2012
     - Program Cost: $100 ($90 veterans)
            o One weekday run, Tuesdays at 6:00 a.m. or 6:00 p.m.
            o Saturday long run at 7:30 a.m.
            o Includes personalized training program, coached runs, video running
               analysis and free training tee

2) Nashville Country Music Half Marathon Training
     - Goal Race: Nashville Country Music Half Marathon (race day 4/28/12)
           o Program Start: Tuesday, February 7, 2012
     - Program Cost: $100 ($90 veterans)
           o One weekday run, Tuesdays at 6:00 a.m. or 6:00 p.m.
           o Saturday long run at 7:30 a.m.
           o Includes personalized training program, coached runs, video running
              analysis and free training tee

Programs include:
• Written training program based on one-mile time trial runs and goals
• Two coached workouts per week
• Video Running Analysis with feedback
• In-training short sleeve technical shirt
• Pre-run warmup/stretching sessions
• Celebration Party

Programs do NOT include:
• Race registration fees – You must sign up for the race yourself when you register. For all of these races prices ratchet up and may sell out.
• Travel, hotel costs, etc.
• ****Disclaimer – We are not travel agents, please when you sign up for the program, register for the race, book a hotel room and book your travel plans as soon as possible. Fleet Feet Sports will not be able to cover the cost of canceled flights, lost luggage or any other travel complication.

Refund Policy
• Refunds will be issued up to 7 days after the program start, minus a $25 registration set-up fee. Refunds will not be issued if participants fail to sign up for the race.

Location: Fleet Feet Decatur - Training will be in the Decatur & Druid Hills area (runs will include Publix Marathon course)

• Registration closes 2 weeks after program start date

Conditioning: Required at Beginning of Program – If necessary start your training a couple weeks before your program start date to get to these levels.
• Half: 10+ miles/week with a long run of 5 miles
